Tired of hourly aircraft maintenance rates constantly going up without rhyme or reason? Well, some Cessna Citation operators may be able to put that problem behind them. The new program is called ProTech, and it is available exclusively for Citation owners.
“Cessna’s ProTech allows our company to accurately forecast future labor costs on a brand new aircraft design,” says Neil Douglas of MSTG 38. LLC.” Since we operate an early model Mustang, projecting upcoming labor costs was extremely important; enrollment with ProTech provides the labor cost assurance we are looking
ProTech shields operators from long-term and rising costs by capping hourly rates for five years based on the Consumer Price Index. It helps to maintain aircraft reliability and reduces paperwork.
Scheduled and Un-scheduled
The program is available on new and older Mustang, CJ1, CJ1+, CJ2, XL, XLS, XLS+, 680 and 750 Citations. Owners and pilots who’ve already signed up for ProTech have made this “one of Citation’s most accepted and popular maintenance programs ever,” says Stan Younger, Cessna VP of Service Facilities.
“We expect ProTech to provide the labor cost prediction that will help keep our maintenance budget under control,” Bird adds.
Citation operators can sign up for ProTech through Cessna’s ProParts program, and be assured of ready access to OEM replacement parts. ProParts and ProTech maintain a pedigree that significantly increases resale value. ProTech can also be transferred to a new owner with written approval from Cessna.
